Shiferaw Tafesse joined the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) as capacity development associate in the Capacity Development unit on 1 January 2015. Shiferaw holds an MSc degree in environmental science from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia and a BSc degree in land resources management and environmental protection from Ethiopia’s Mekelle University. Before joining ILRI, he was working as business development specialist on Feed Enhancement for Ethiopian Development (FEED II) Project in ACDI/VOCA, Ethiopia.
Alemayehu Tsegaye joined ILRI as mechanical technician in Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities Management on 1 January 2015. Alemayehu holds a BA degree in development management from the Ethiopian Civil Service University and an advanced diploma in general metal fabrication and manufacturing from Addis Ababa’s Tegbareid TVET College. Prior to joining ILRI, he was working as plant room technician in Hilton, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Ashenafi Kidanemariam joined ILRI on 15 January 2015 as environmental, occupational health and safety officer in People and Organizational Development. Ashenafi holds an MSc degree in public health from Mekelle University College of Health Sciences and a BSc degree in public health from Haramaya University College of Health Sciences in Ethiopia. Previously, he was working as health officer in Hope for the Children Australia, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Mesfin Hailu has been appointed program accountant in the Animal Science for Sustainable Productivity (ASSP) Program effective 1 February 2015. Mesfin holds an MSc degree in accounting and finance from Hawassa University and a BSc degree in accounting and finance from Arba Minch University. Prior to joining ILRI, he was working as regional supply grant officer at Pact Ethiopia.
